Task: ‘Lær for Livet’ (Learn for Life) is one of the Egmont Foundation’s priority projects, which – in close cooperation with the Danish municipalities – will ensure positive learning to more than 1,000 children in foster care. A mentor will support the child throughout a six-year programme, and this short film – and other similar films – will encourage more to volunteer as mentors.
Increased self-esteem, educational gains and a stronger commitment to school will pave the way for the children to complete secondary education and, in the long run, create a good life for themselves.
